Join Nuala on Sunday 23 August 2026, from 9.00am–12.30pm, for a special Wellbeing Hike on Binevenagh as part of Foyle Pride Festival.

This guided hike is an opportunity to connect with nature, enjoy mindful movement and spend time with a welcoming community in one of Northern Ireland's most spectacular landscapes. Whether you're celebrating Pride, looking to meet new people or simply wanting to experience the benefits of being outdoors, we'd love to have you join us.

Our hike begins at the Leighery Road entrance to Binevenagh Forest at the base of this dramatic basalt mountain, part of the Antrim Plateau.

The ascent is steady, allowing you to walk at a comfortable pace while taking in the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Each step is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply and enjoy the restorative power of nature.

As you near the summit (385m), the landscape opens up to reveal one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in Northern Ireland. From here, you'll enjoy stunning views across Lough Foyle, the Inishowen Peninsula and, on a clear day, even the distant Scottish Isles. The dramatic cliffs of Binevenagh create the perfect setting to pause, reflect and appreciate the beauty of the world around us.

Along the way, we'll take a few moments for:

🌿 Mindful Breathing – Let the fresh mountain air refresh and energise you.

🌿 Quiet Reflection – Take in the sounds of nature and enjoy a moment of calm.

🌿 Gentle Stretching – Release tension and appreciate the strength of your body after the climb.

As we make our way back down, you'll leave feeling refreshed, re-energised and connected—to nature, to yourself and to those sharing the journey with you.

This Binevenagh Wellbeing Hike is more than just a walk. It's a chance to celebrate community, inclusivity and wellbeing while exploring one of our most beautiful landscapes.

Beginners are very welcome, and no previous hiking experience is needed.
