Binevenagh Hike (5 June 2025)
Binevenagh Hike (5 June 2025)
Join Nuala on Saturday 5th June 2025 from 8.30am to 12noon on a Wellbeing Hike on Binevenagh, the stunning mountain we call our base mountain - the mountain closest to our home and where our Outdoor Adventures began in 2020.
It’ll be a rejuvenating experience that blends breathtaking scenery, fresh mountain air, and a deep sense of tranquility.
Our hike will begin at the Leighery Road entrance to Binevenagh Forest at the base of this dramatic basalt mountain that forms part of the Antrim Plateau.
The ascent is steady, allowing you to pace yourself mindfully, taking in the beauty of the rolling landscapes around you. Each step is an invitation to be present, to breathe deeply, and to let go of stress.
As you near the summit (385m), the landscape opens up to reveal one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in all of Northern Ireland. From here, you can see Lough Foyle, the Inishowen Peninsula, and even the distant Scottish Isles on a clear day. The dramatic cliffs of Binevenagh drop sharply, creating a breathtaking sense of openness and vastness—perfect for a moment of reflection and gratitude.
Here, we’ll take a few minutes for:
🌿 Mindful Breathing – Let the fresh mountain air fill your lungs, refreshing and energising you.
🌿 Quiet Meditation – Close your eyes, listen to the wind, and feel the deep stillness of nature.
🌿 Gentle Stretching – Release any tension and feel the strength of your body after the climb.
As you make your way back down, the journey will feel lighter and your mind clearer. And by the time you reach the base, you will carry with you not only the physical benefits of movement but also a renewed sense of balance, clarity, and appreciation for the simple beauty of the natural world.
Our Binevenagh Wellbeing hike is more than just a walk—it’s a soul-refreshing experience, reminding you to slow down, breathe, and embrace the present moment. 🌿✨
This is a low-medium level walk given the incline to the summit and the off-road terrain. Beginners welcome!
Each walker will require a minimum amount of equipment which includes: Walking shoes/boots; Waterproof clothing; Backpack with water, food and any other essential items. We also highly recommend walking poles!
The price is £15pp. Book now!
