Join Nuala on Sunday 16 March 2025 on an adventure to the summit of Errigal Mountain to watch the Sunrise.

We’ll wrap up warm, don our head torches and lace up your boots as the faint outline of this incredible mountain looms overhead.

We’ll begin the ascent together keeping our breath steady and our heartbeat in rhythm with the land. Step by step, we’ll climb along the new path through the cool pre-dawn air and up onto the saddle watching the colours in the sky shift from deep navy to indigo with perhaps hints of purple and pink brushing the horizon.

The world below will be silent, still asleep, whilst we ascend along the track moving closer and closer to the sky.

As we reach the summit, the first golden rays will break over the horizon. The world being reborn into light.

Lough Altan below us will shimmer like liquid gold. The rolling hills and distant ocean will reflect a soft pink glow. Clouds may drift beneath us tinged with fiery orange.

And we’ll stand together on this iconic quartzite peak with the morning light illuminating the land and our lives. We’ll pause and allow the stillness and beauty to settle into our bones

As we descend, we’ll feel grounded yet limitless, connected to the mountain, the sky, and the timeless rhythm of the earth.

This is a moderate level hike so a moderate level of fitness required and it is essential to be comfortable with heights

You will require:

• Head Torch;

• Walking shoes/boots;

• Warm clothing ;

• A backpack with water, a hot drink, food, extra layers and any other essential items.

• We also highly recommend hiking poles!

The price is £20pp.

This is a car-sharing event leaving Eglinton via Derry at 3.15am.
