Join Nuala on Saturday 17 May 2025 on a Guided Hiking Adventure across the Seven Sisters of the Derryveagh Mountains.

We’ll begin our adventure at 6am at the base of Muckish Mountain and will aim to finish our adventure at the base of Errigal Mountain at 6pm.

Our incredible adventure will take in the following summits:

🏔️ Muckish – The "pig's back," with its boulder-strewn plateau and distant views of Tory Island.

🏔️ Crocknalaragagh - the softer and more subdued of the sisters with its slopes covered in heather, peat bog, and exposed rock.

🏔️ Aghla Beg – A smaller but steep climb, where the winds rush freely.

🏔️ Ardloughnabrackbaddy – A tongue-twister of a name, but a rewarding climb with views down to Lough Altan.

🏔️ Aghla More – A sharp incline leading to an open summit, where the vast wilderness unfolds.

🏔️ Mackoght (Little Errigal) – A prelude to the grand finale, hinting at the challenge ahead.

🏔️ Errigal (751m) – The jewel of the range, Donegal’s highest peak, its iconic pyramidal shape standing proud.

Between all of these incredible summits, the landscape shifts from rocky ridges to boggy valleys, the ground soft underfoot, speckled with golden gorse and purple heather. Loughs glisten in the distance, untouched and timeless. We might even spot a lone deer in the mist or hear the cry of a peregrine falcon soaring above.

At the summit of Errigal, we’ll pause and take in the incredible natural beauty we have just hiked. We’ll celebrate your strength, your resolve, and your spirit!

Our final descent will be filled with quiet satisfaction and accomplishment. And as our adventure comes to an end, the memory of this day and these mountains in the heart of Donegal will stay with you forever.

This is a challenging hike so a high level of fitness is required and it is essential to be comfortable with heights.

The price is £70pp and there are only 6 spaces.

This will be a car-sharing event that will require 4 cars - 2 at the base of Errigal and 2 to at the base of Muckish Miners Track.
