Basil is a stimulating and clearing oil, useful when concentration is needed or when feeling tired and sluggish. It has a stimulating effect on the brain and nervous system; thus, it is great for nervous debility, poor concentration and mental fatigue.

Did you know: Basil has been used as a culinary and medicinal herb for centuries and is one of the main ingredients in Pesto, an Italian sauce from Genoa.

Basil will grow up to 50cm in height. This low growing herb has green leaves and small white flowers.  

Clear, sweet, spicy and yellowish in colour. There are approximately 5 types of Basil essential oil on the market today. We have selected a True Sweet Basil Oil (Ocimum Basilicum) known as Linalol type. This is the safest and most pleasant of the Basil oils used in Aromatherapy.

To create an atmosphere for focus and study, try adding 1 drop of Basil, 3 drops of Lemon and 1 drop of Peppermint to some water in an oil burner.
