Happy Easter wherever you are or whatever you are up to today. Hopefully you can enjoy the slower pace today and be reminded of the simple joys in life - they are everywhere!
I'm just home from a gorgeous walk up on the aptly named "Windy Hill" at Gortmore. The wind was strong but oh that feeling of joy standing on a hill with the wind in your hair.
Ireland County High Point Challenge
Just a short check-in this week since I am planning to do very little for the next day or two. It has been a full-on week which ended in the pleasure of completing my Ireland County High Point's Challenge on Friday.
I commenced this challenge back in the summer of 2021 with the goal to hike to the top of every county in Ireland within one year. I was doing well until a few physical obstacles were put in my way throughout 2022. But hey - aren't obstacles all part of the journey and the learning along the way?
So to tick off Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow and Wexford this week to complete the challenge - brought me great joy. I feel so incredibly blessed to have witnessed some of the most beautiful scenery this country has to offer. Earth-shatteringly beautiful sunrises, sunsets and mountain-tops!

Guided Walks and Adventures
On Tuesday evening we had the pleasure of our our last Light Up Walk of the season around Ballykelly Forest. Such a beautiful evening and so great to see lots of new people out walking - people of all ages and gender. Lots of joy and connection - even with the witnessing of the first bluebells of spring on the forest floor.
We have upcoming Guided Walks and Adventures on Binevenagh, along the Causeway Coast and to the Mourne Mountains.
Our next hike is on beautiful Binevenagh. I have lost count of the many times I have hiked up this mountain but every time it is different. So if you have already hiked up Binevenagh and are wondering if you should do it again and again - say yes! Be reminded of Marcel Proust's words "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes".
Have a Blessed Easter.
Be well.
