I hope that this message finds you well and that you were able to enjoy some slow time over the Bank Holiday Weekend. I certainly did!
After a hike in the Urris Hills on Saturday and some fun at Oakfire Adventures on Sunday, the rest of the weekend was fairly relaxed - lots of naps, nice food and definite slow time watching the passing showers with zero guilt about being indoors and doing very little!
I read one of Donna Ashworth’s poems called “Rest” to our Rise & Shine Tribe over the weekend. The last line sums resting up perfectly….”If only we could realise, resting is very much doing”.
Daily Self-care for June
And speaking of Rise & Shine, we will begin another month-long journey on Sunday before taking a break for the summer. How does 30 days of Daily Self-care sound?
Imagine beginning every day this June with 30 minutes of Guided Relaxation, Daily Reflection, Silence, Intention-setting, Gratitude and Poetry? And then gliding into each day (and the summer) with peace, calm and focus?
Others are saying: “Such a wonderful way to start your day”, “this as a gift for yourself”, “Such a great investment in every way”. Perhaps you will feel the same!

Guided Walks & Adventures
We’ve had a full month of adventure since I last wrote to you. Sunset Hikes on Gortmore, Sawel and Loughermore Forest and then fabulous Hiking Adventures across both sides of Urris Hills.
And of course, I must mention our Seven Sisters Adventure across seven mountains in the Derryveagh Mountains in one day. This was epic! I am in awe of the group of women who took on this challenge. So so inspirational!
Next up is something a bit more gentle with a Sunset Walk in Binevenagh Forest tomorrow (Wednesday) evening and then a hike up Slieve Snaght - the high point of Inishowen - on Saturday. Lets end May on a high!
Wishing you well for the week ahead. And remember if you need to rest, resting is very much doing!
