How are you? How has your start to 2023 been? Whatever life is presenting to you right you, there is much to be said about just doing the best that you can to live each day in the here and the now.
This was the mindset that I chose during the last week whilst visiting friends in the French Alps. It was unusually warm for this time of year with more rain and much less snow. So the options to ski and snowboard were significantly limited. I only managed to do a few runs on my snowboard since many of the pistes were closed. But I savoured those moments of joy and spent the rest of the time just enjoying the company of my friends and time alone walking in the mountains. Have a watch here of a little Instagram Reel I put together.
I captured the photo above on Friday morning whilst out on a solo walk across the Prarion plateau above Les Houches in the Chamonix Valley. An incredible walk with spectacular 360° views and a glorious sun rising behind Mont Blanc. I have been visiting this area for over 20 years and every time I go back I find myself just stopping and taking in the awe and beauty of the natural world. All of which has such a positive impact on my wellbeing - mentally, emotionally and physically. This photo reminded me of the well-known John Muir quote “What a glorious greeting the sun gives the mountains”.
So as I return to work tomorrow delivering Group Wellbeing Programs and Guided Walks , I will carry the memory of these few days away as a reminder to greet each day with as much joy, beauty and simplicity as I can.
I have included below a few upcoming public events that you might be interested in. I am very excited about our new monthly Wellbeing Circle. So if you are interested in living a happier & healthier life, this circle if for you and will be all about things to do with mind, body and spirit. It will be about empowerment, growth, support, inspiration, motivation - but most of all friendship and connection. Come join us!
Sending you strength and support over the next week as we settle into January and 2023.
Be well.
