How are you? It is hard to believe that it is the last day of August and it is back-to-school time again. Do you find that the vibe of the academic school year seems to impact us all whatever age we are? Perhaps it is a time to restart after the summer break, refocus your energy on what matters to you or perhaps even rejoin the groups and tribes that you know support you in your life journey?
Go With the Flow
For me, the word that I am carrying into the new academic year is FLOW. It has been a theme in my life in recent times and there is much to be said about allowing yourself to just “go with the flow”.
Last weekend, I lead a fabulous Walking Adventure to Slieve League and “flow” was definitely the word of the weekend as we manoeuvred the changing weather and adjusted the weekend itinerary. A weekend of flow, connection and joy. I captured the above photo whilst exploring An Port in Donegal on Sunday Afternoon.
Learn to Meditate & Journal
Thank you to everyone that has already signed up for my “Rise & Shine” Program starting tomorrow morning (Friday 1 September). A month-long guided journey of Daily Self-care that includes Guided Meditation, Journaling, Reading and Movement.
There is still time to Book your place if you are ready to get back or even commence a Daily Self-care Ritual that works for you. I am looking forward to getting started. Perhaps I’ll see you online in the morning at 6am? And remember - everything is recorded should you choose to listen to the meditation later in the day.
Guided Walks & Adventures
It was great to get the head torches out again last Thursday Night with an Evening Walk around Roe Valley Country Park. Magical!
We have our last Sunset Hike of the summer to the summit of Binevenagh tonight and then we commence the Causeway Coast Way on Saturday from Portstewart to Portrush. And for anyone that completes the 6 stages over the 6 saturdays, you will receive a framed certificate and souvenir of your achievement.
You may have hiked the Urris Hills before and wandered what it is like to hike “the other side”. Well now is your chance. We will hike Mamore Hill from Mamore Gap to Clonmany Waterfall on the 10th September.
Top of Northern Ireland
I am excited to lead another hiking adventure in the Mourne Mountains with a hike up Slieve Donard on the 23rd September. This is the highest mountain in Northern Ireland and is amazing! What a way to start the new school year!
If you have a basic level of fitness and are in good health, you can do it! I will guide you to the top. It is not a race - we will hike it together and enjoy every step of the journey. Book your seat on the bus from Limavady here. And if you are still considering, have a look at these few moments of joy from a previous hike up Slieve Donard.
Sending you my well wishes and flow for September and the rest of the year.
Be well
