How are you? I’ve been a bit off-kilter lately with moving house and all that comes with that. And then, like everyone, managing all the curve balls that life can throw at you. It has definitely been a full-on September and October so far. I am pleased to say that a state of balance is returning - for now anyway.
Rise & Shine - November 2023
I read recently that finding balance and staying centred is like trying to stand on a surfboard in choppy waters—it takes practice and adaptability. How true is that? I can definitely relate to that. Can you?
My saving grace over the last month or two has been my daily practice of Meditation, Journaling, Reading and Walking. Also the support of a group of like-minded women who have the same focus - daily self-care to heathily manoeuvre life’s choppy waters.
If you are feeling a resonance with this or are keen to give Daily Meditation and Journaling a try, our “Rise & Shine” Group is beginning to gather for the month of November. Come join us. You can find out more here.
Collective Wellbeing
One of the joys of my work is speaking to, working with and helping groups of people with a shared focus on being well - almost like collective wellbeing. I get to witness every day how groups of individuals with a shared focus like this can come together and give rise to a shared synergy that not only is beneficial to the individuals involved, it also creates a ripple effect that spreads far and wide - to their homes, to their families and out into their communities.
If you are part of a group or a team and are interested in finding out more about group wellbeing sessions, I’d love to hear from you. Over the last weeks, I’ve lead sessions on Building Resilience, Stress Management Techniques, Learning to Relax, Improving Sleep, Setting Boundaries, Journaling for Beginners and my favourite - Laughter Yoga! I wonder what your group or team needs?
Guided Walks & Adventures
Living in this country and spending time in the hills and mountains is like the gift that keeps on giving! No matter how many times I hike a route, there is always something new to experience and learn.
Some of the highlights from the last 6 weeks have been Mamore Gap to Clonmany, the Causeway Coast Way and an awesome day adventure to Slieve Donard.
This Saturday, we walk from Dunseverick Castle to Ballintoy Harbour - my favourite section on the Causeway Coast Way. We’ll then go on an adventure to Slieve Snaght in Inishowen on Sunday 29th October 23. I captured the photo above at the summit last Sunday - just wow!
And if you’re planning ahead, we’ll walk from Ballintoy Harbour to Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge on Saturday 4th November. And we’ll be crossing that bridge!
And remember our Winter Walking Retreat to Ballycastle is happening 24-26 November 2023. Many of those who joined us previously are returning for more. It is always such a wonderful weekend before all the Christmas madness. And it would be great to see you and share the weekend with you. I am so delighted that the fabulous Janice Tracey Nutrition will be returning again to nourish us all weekend!
