Just a short check-in to say hello and hope you’ve had a good start to the week. And the sunshine continues. Such joy!
I’ve been trying to swim in the sea every day during this hot spell. Where possible, I go first thing in the morning after our online Guided Meditation and Journaling or before dinner. And even though I am working through the days, each time I go into the sea, it feels like I’m on holiday. And it feels great!
We added a Sunset Dip to our Zen Walk at Benone last Thursday evening. Wow! It was a joy to see so many of the Walking Group join me. And a special mention to one woman, in particular. It was her first time to cold water dip. Whilst she was talking herself out of it, the kind words and support from another woman in the group motivated her to do it. Inspiring stuff!
Guided Walks & Adventures
In addition to our Benone Zen Walk, I lead a fabulous group along the Carntogher Way last Saturday.
Carntogher Mountain is the most easterly mountain in the Sperrins apart from Slieve Gallion, which lies to the South. The whole area is steeped in history. I shared stories with the group about the Emigrant’s Cairn during the Great Famine and the area’s “Robin Hood”, Shane Crossach O’Mullan, and his activities whilst under Penal Law. All very fascinating. Definitely worth checking out An Carn too - the gift shop and coffee shop are both excellent.
This week, we have a Sunset Hike on Donald’s Hill and then an adventure to Fermanagh on Saturday to hike Cuilcagh - the County High Point of Fermanagh and Cavan. And if you are planning ahead, we’ll hike Sawel, the County High Point of Derry and Tyrone on the 29th. Be great to see you and walk with you - as always.
Sending you my continued well wishes as the sun continues to shine here in Ireland. And try to get in the sea if you can!
Be well
