How are you doing this week? What a change in the weather! Hope you are keeping warm and safe.
I took the above photo on a short walk through Springwell Forest on Friday morning. Cold but absolutely beautiful. As I walked, I reflected that only two days prior to that, I was planting trees with the Woodland Trust up above the Ness Woods. Let’s hope these new trees survive the freezing temperatures.
It was my first experience of planting trees on a larger scale. We were each given a bundle of 60 to plant and I thoroughly enjoyed it albeit my body felt it the next day!
There is something about planting trees, bulbs and seeds that carries faith and hope for a better, brighter and more beautiful tomorrow. Even in our own lives, we can use the planting a seed or tree metaphor to reflect on what we are sowing and planting for tomorrow in our own lives and the lives of others? I wonder what that means to you?
I am planning to slow things down in the coming days and do my best to just enjoy the moment. I still have a few events coming up that you might enjoy. Have a look below.
Each Christmas, I choose to give a little something back to the community and voluntary sector. This year, I have chosen to raise funds for the Limavady Volunteer Centre at LCDI. I had the opportunity to see what work is being done to help those in need in our community. Amazing!
I will host a Charity Winter Solstice Meditation & Journaling event online on the 21st. The donation is £10 and 100% of this will be going to our chosen charity. It would be lovely for you to join. Or if you choose, you can just make a donation. Thank you for helping to plant seeds for a better tomorrow.
So until next week, I wish you a calm and peaceful week ahead.
Warm regards
