How are you doing this week?
A much needed calm and peaceful Sunday here as I write this note to you. It has been a full week so I am taking the time to come home to myself this afternoon.
I have some gentle Christmas piano music playing in the background, a church candle lit on the coffee table, Noel Aromatherapy Blend diffusing in the corner, a cup of Winter Warmer tea in my hand - all with my feet up and covered in a cosy blanket. It is the simple things in life that can bring the greatest joy.
This week I've been reflecting on "coming home to yourself" - it has been a theme running through my work and conversations. Having returned home to Northern Ireland now over 10 years ago, I have felt deep resonance with stories of returning home. But I wonder what does "coming home to yourself" mean to you?
At this time of year, we can all be pulled and pushed off-centre with ever-growing to do lists, expanded shopping lists, Christmas catch-ups, year-end deadlines, numerous distractions convincing you of what you need..........all sound familiar?
For me, I believe that coming home to yourself is all about grounding yourself in the here and now, finding your centre and doing your best to live in alignment with your truth and your values. And this is a constant "work in process" for us all as we manage the distractions, all the "shoulds" and all the "musts" everywhere.
But remember you can do anything but not everything! So go gently with yourself as you manoeuvre the comings days and weeks. Keep doing your best to come home to yourself.
A few new festive events have been added - all designed with your wellbeing in mind. Have a look and perhaps I will see you soon.
So until next week, I wish you a calm and peaceful week ahead.
Warm regards
