How are you doing this week? Did you happen to see the Northern Lights earlier in the week or even see the photos online? Just wow! So incredible!
Explore Tollymore Forest Park
I've just sat down after a beautiful morning solo walk around Tollymore Forest Park in Newcastle. I captured the photo above whilst overlooking the Hermitage. I was doing a Risk Assessment for a walk that I am leading there next Saturday. Health & Safety on all my Guided Walks, Adventures and Retreats is always my top priority.
Tollymore is such a beautiful place and for anyone keen to explore the Mourne Mountains, it provides a wonderful introduction. If you would like to join and get a seat on the bus from Limavady, have a look here.
Wellbeing Programs in Derry & Antrim
I commenced the week with an invite to lead a 4 Week Wellbeing and Mindfulness Program for Women in the new Waterside Shared Village in Derry. Have you been? It is pretty amazing and it looks like this council-owned shared community hub is already being put to good use.
The most unusual venue to speak in this week has to have been on a Badminton Court in Antrim! But it worked and the group were fabulous. A mixed-ability group working with the Sports Development Team at Mid and East Antrim Council.
54321 - Managing Worry and Anxiety
I introduced the participants to a very simple exercise that can help with managing worry and anxiety by interrupting any unhealthy thought patterns. It works on the basis that you shift the focus to your senses and surroundings in the present moment. Why not give it a try?
Stop and look around you now. Try your best to notice:
5 things you can see
4 things you can physically feel
3 things you can hear
2 things you can smell
1 thing you can taste.
Causeway Coastal Route
We've had two fabulous walks this week along the Causeway Coastal Route. The first was a Light Up Walk at Downhill and then a Wellbeing Walk at the Giants Causeway yesterday.
I sometimes find it difficult to put into words the spirit of these walks. There is this spark - this connection - this joy. You can feel it during and after each walk. Perhaps the kind words and reviews recently left by some of our clients will describe the experience better.
And if you have joined one of our events or walks, please feel free to leave a few words here too. Your words have power and might just inspire someone watching to join a future walk. Thank you.
Our Bestseller this week.......
This Relaxation Aromatherapy Blend is a natural alternative to help you unwind & relax both the mind and body. The restorative blend contains a synergy of pure essential oils including Tangerine, Bergamot, Lavender, Petitgrain, May Chang and Ylang Ylang.
If you have yet to try it - please do! You can blend 5 drops with 10ml of Sweet Almond Oil and massage into your head, neck and shoulders to help induce peace & calm whilst releasing tension from the body. Or perhaps use it as a Room Fragrance? Just add up to 6 drops to your essential oil diffuser to create a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere.
Wishing you well for the week ahead. Keep the winter wools out a bit longer and get outside and enjoy that fresh crisp air.
